Music House and/or C-Haus [NOT OPERATING UNTIL AUGUST 24! I'M IN THE TWIN CITIES WITH MY BAND, HEARTH ( myspace.com/hearthwarmth) IF YOU'RE LOOKING FOR A BAND TO SHOW WITH AND/OR SOME HELP](updated 5/16/2010)
Hello, my name's Jack Katze--I'm a junior and a music major at Beloit College, a little liberal arts college in a little town in Wisconsin. I live in the Music House, which has a basement where kids can practice electrically with a drum set, amplifiers, keys, a P.A. and such. I'm interested in hosting groups at the Music House or hooking them up with the campus venue, C-Haus, if they want a more official, paying sort-of show. C-Haus has shows on Wednesdays, Thursdays, Fridays, and Saturdays during a semester. Fall Semester of 2010 starts August 24th and ends December 14th, so shows are a go during that time. Memphis, TN, is my hometown and I can help out with bands who want to play there, too.
The best way for people to reach me is by phone - (901)-237-8932 - and email -katzej@beloit.edu - . Also, check out our myspace for pictures and show schedule: http://www.myspace.com/heymusichouselisten

Madison

The House That Willi Built
We throw acoustic shows in our apartment sometimes. We have a cat named Willi. She is extremely naughty, but she likes making new friends and trying to eat their food. Anyway, come over and and let's play some musics. We mostly set up shows for touring bands, but if you're local, I'm sure we would be happy to help in some way or another, too. My goal is to make my home your home while you're on the road. For a speedy reply, email me (Connie) at stronglikenancy@yahoo.com or check out the blog for more info: http://merelythemoon.blogspot.com .

The Mill House
We love to have all ages shows anytime. All shows are free, and we can work out other bands to play with you if you'd like. We don't have a PA, so if you can bring one, that would be great. Our band, Pushmi-Pullyu, would love to play the show if possible. Starting August 1st, there will no longer be shows in The Mill House.

The Snake Pit
Books shows based around touring bands. Decent sized shows. Pretty cool Playing space in the basement. Usually offers bands a place to stay and sometimes meals.

Milwaukee

FTAM
Milwaukee organization dedicated to promoting local, national and international underground experimental music both as a DIY music promoter and a DIY label. Hosts the annual Milwaukee Noise Fest. Focus is on noise, but other types of experimental music are definitely considered. Email peter[at]experimentalmilwaukee[dot]com for inquiries

The BORG Ward Collective
art gallery/music venue; random events. furthering the EVOLUTION and documenting it's progress in our methodologies, activities, and exhibitions.

The Laundry Chute
In Riverwest above the laundromat Soapies. We don't have a website or myspace yet. Our email is thelaundryshoot@gmail.com. We love to have shows in our living room. Since we don't have a basement, we can't do super loud shows but we're somewhat flexible and we can set up shows at several other venues as well. We have a cat name Cricket. He's kind of sassy but mostly cuddly. We all like to eat and share food. We have a decent amount of sleeping space.
