We go by "the DAAC" (pronounced like dak), it stands for Division Avenue Arts Cooperative. As part of the Avenue for the Arts in downtown Grand Rapids, we are an art and music venue. Collective of Kalamazoo promoters brought together to help touring bands find cool places to play. All genres are welcome. We will try to reply to every email, just don't be offended if we can't help you/aren't into your band. Check out the blog for a calendar of all upcoming shows. a collectively operated Art gallery/Music venue. Our belief is that boredom is counter-revolutionary and art and music are the avenues progressive social change.
We base the merit of your music more on it's message than artistic value. We absolutely Do not allow any hate speech.
No drugs or alcohol are allowed and all shows are free admission. A place to crash is sometimes available and we can pass the hat for gas money but there are no guarantees.
We have a PA that is usually available if our sound guy is here.

Mt Pleasant

The Garage
a collective movement in Mt. Pleasant Michigan, run by house band Day In Day Out. We throw shows at least once a month. Our goal is to encourage enough growth in the music scene to support moving The Garage to a new (and better) location. Always a place to crash and 100% of donations is split evenly between the touring acts. We would love to help any and all bands or other live performances.
