Gay Gardens
This is a musician/artist house with a history of good shows long before we ever lived here. We are setting up shows for local or touring bands. Our basement can easily hold 50 or more people. All the shows we've had so far have had good turnouts and the cops have not broken up any shows yet. A place to hang out, get weird, and eat pizza. Only can really do weekend shows but if we like you enough we will definitely do it. The best contact would be either nathanrainer@verizon.net, jfbarrett@suffolk.edu or the myspace page.
The Haunted Casino
We've been a house venue since the fall of 2009. Our doors are open to all local, and touring indie rock acts. To be considered for a show we ask that all bands please email us with their band name, and a link to their music (myspace, bandcamp, ect.).

The House
We have shows. Call 773.616.5496.
Islington House Showspace
Our purpose is to provide touring and local bands with a hospitable and friendly environment to play shows. We think this is the best way to help the music community. Any show held here will always be all-ages, and always free (although we would love if you could donate what money you can for touring bands). All shows will be potlucks! (Vegan if possible!) For the time being, any shows held here will have to be acoustic, with little exception. Noise is an issue! Sorry! We also can only hold a show or two any given month. We don't want to piss off our neighbors. :O ) We only really book shows to help touring bands. We love to have local bands on, but we only really want to book to help support bands who REALLY NEED a show. Y'know? If your band or it's members are homophobic, sexist, abusive, racist, etc, don't bother contacting us. Thanks!

Cambridge
Bad Jokes
I'm in a band named Pile <http://virb.com/pile>, and we have an indefinite residency, every other Sunday, at the All Asia Bar in Cambridge, MA. We put out a zine called 'Bad Jokes (badjokesthings.com).' In the future, we might not play and have our friends play instead, either way a local band will help you out. email badjokesthings@gmail.com if you want to play on a Sunday night in Boston/Cambridge, and we'll tell you if it falls on one of the Sundays that we can work with. It's $5 a head at the door and all the money goes to touring bands. My name's Rick (or maybe it's Kris, depending on who checks the email first).
Papercut Zine Library
a collective-run lending library that has roughly 10,000 zines from all over time and space! we are housed in, and book the (all-ages alcohol-free) shows at, the democracy center, a community/activist center in cambridge's harvard square. NOTE: we
ourselves do not set up shows, but just are a venue. We don't set opening
bands/do promotion, etc. which is often what a touring band needs...

Sunnyside
We are seven people full of love for everyone and everything except boring music. We have shows very rarely, and when we do we like to include a minimum of the following- guitars, dudes singing in unison, bass guitars, drum kits, and awkward banter where the singer says 'we're from New York' but really he lives in Jersey.
Send demos to

Boston, MA 02130
We'll listen and respond to all snail-mailed inquiries.
The Whitehaus
a leafy neighborhood of Boston. 10 humans and one cat live here and we all make music and art together. We host shows in and out of our house, and we are most well known for our weekly hootenannies, or "hoots," in which we opened our doors every Friday night to anyone who wanted to perform anything in front of a living room full of people. as of right now, we are not doing the hoots weekly, but we are still organizing shows and we are a good place for any wayfaring musicians, artists, or good souls to stop by on their travels.
