The Devil's Playground
A multi-purpose space located on Jacksonville’s Eastside on the banks of the St. John’s River and in the shadow of the Matthew’s Bridge. At the moment, the facility houses the practice space of three local Jacksonville bands. It is also host to DIY shows, the likes of which you simply can’t experience at a traditional venue. It is a means to revitalize the art/music/culture in Jacksonville and a wrench in the gears of the old way of doing things. There is no set demographic, creed, genre, style or criteria for what takes place within its walls. It is what it is. CONTACT: unit6jacksonville[at]gmail[dot]com
Underbelly
We host small local and national acts, as well as hold monthly art openings showcasing the works of a select artist. If you are interested in booking shows please contact myself, Emily Moody, at 904-354-7002 or via e-mail (emily.anomaly@gmail.com). Pay negotiable.
Warehouse 8B
A DIY venue in the shipyards of Jacksonville, FL. It is located on Wambolt St. less than a mile from the Jaguar Football Stadium. By day it is an art studio, however, several times a month it is turned into a space for music and art shows. The warehouse is open to the public for all of these events. Lately, we specialize in booking bands of the hardcore/punk/metal persuasion but are open to anything really. It's run by a collective group of people who all book shows and are helping to further expand the music scene in Jacksonville. Contact: spgranese@gmail.com.
