Conway
la lucha space
We devote space to serving local foods 5 days a week on a 'pitch-in' basis - pitch-in for what you consume. We have hosted local art events, are developing a zine rack, and have music at least a couple times a month. Occasionally acts play in our main-space, which is a big living room.. but generally we put them in our slightly large much darker music space. We book most types of acts, but not usually hardcore bands (sorry.. possibly in the future). Normal size bands can stay here, multiple bands can talk to us and we'll work to help find places to stay.. we'll feed you before or after you play.. shows here aren't usually parties- they are focused on the music and people come to listen. If you want to do something here that isn't music shoot us an email and we'll do our best to make it happen.. If you just want food, coffee, community, etc stop on by any day Tuesday-Sat (see the site for hours we open the doors..)
Fayetteville
ameroplace
we've had a short lived time span, but it's been lucrative nonetheless. we have already had a few great acts here including the Music Tapes, Rio En Medio from New York, and Nomenclature from Portland. all our shows are usually opened by local acts, but we have no problem with bands touring together and making a night out of that as well.
we are a house venue, but the living room is spacious, and we provide sleeping arrangements for all the musicians coming through (whether they are playing a show or not).
The Dandy at Lawson Park
We have a nice set up for house shows, and want it to be a place where bands of all walks of life come together to play. We would also love any form of art at all really. Whether it be poetry readings, noise music, live painting, dance, whatever. We simply want to meet new interesting people, and be able to discover what it is they do with their life and thoughts. Though we're very excited about this whole thing, we'll probably keep shows to once or twice a month because of the proximity to neighbors and because it's also home to a band's practice space. Also, there's a chance we might be able to put you guys up if you need a place to stay. Just contact us!
